Since the beginning of time there has been conflict. (Thanks Adam & Eve) It will continue long after you and I have departed this world. It's in our human nature, but forgiveness, understanding, and compassion for the person has long been lost in society and it's fearful for me to wonder what my daughters will experience in their lifetime if society further goes down this dismissive path with complete disregard to human life, values and beliefs of our neighbor. 0004 - What's my favorite season? Why?

My favorite season used to be fall when I lived in IL before the leaves fell. You feel it in the air. The beginning of football season, brisk mornings and warm afternoons. Adds a sense of urgency to get things done prior to winter. Start packing summer things away and unpacking the winter items. The daily attire consisted of sweatshirt hoodies and jeans weather and everyone looks forward to a great pot of chili cooking all day on the stove. Filling the house with an amazing scent of spices, seasoned meat and love. However that love all is lost when you have to rake all the damn leaves. But it does give you the opportunity to capture amazing moments like this.

Now since moving to South Florida my favorite season is winter. Low's of maybe 2 days in the 30's. Falling Iguana warnings and immediately warming to 60-70 by the afternoon.

There truly is no better weather or place to be than in South Florida during the winter. We may get 2 weeks of brisk cold that requires a coat but then it warms by the afternoon and all is well. Let's put it this way, we went to the beach on New Year's Eve and the kids played in the water that was still warm. The fact that you can be outside all year round is amazing. Granted it's exactly the opposite than IL when you don't see your neighbors from November till Tax Day. In Florida, you don't see your neighbors from May till October. You turn your air conditioner off maybe 2 weeks out of the year. It's just a thing you keep on most of the time...even for no other reason to keep the humidity down in your house.

The sunsets are amazing and the palm trees blowing in the breeze driving down the street with no potholes 350 days a year...it's a great feeling and a great decision knowing we live where people come to vacation.
